Analyzing Dreams To Promote Healing in People

Analyzing dreams has been a large controversy. Many people believe that their dreams are the key to their future, a spiritual vision, or flashbacks of their past. Everyone dreams if they remember it or not. The way the brain processes the day and memories are all in dreams.

The way I look at dreams, is the brain trying to process what happens during the day. Your subconscious brain is reflecting on the day and your real thoughts are shown. For example, my friend said he had a dream about him walking around on a street and trying to avoid broken glass. That can be interpreted in several different ways. There could be something this person is trying to avoid in their life whether it is responsibilities, people, opportunities, or memories. Depending on the person, we find out the reason that could help them with their anxiety and/or depression.

Another example is the dreams where someone is falling off a cliff. Everyone has this dream at one time or another. I believe that dream is a result of having too many responsibilities and or having the feeling of having to go into the unknown. Upon realizing that, the person can make meaningful changes.

Looking into dreams for therapy could be a way to help people process their trauma and stressful daily events. If people are able to look closer into their dreams, they can analyze their life and figure out what is really happening in their minds. When people understand themselves, they can find fulfillment and internal peace.
