Insane Clown Posse’s In My Room is the perfect song for Halloween. The song revolves around a teenager who is depressed and hates school, but he falls in love with a ghost in his room and the rest is history!

The thing I like the most about this song is the story line, you are interested in what happens to the main character of the song after the chorus.

I was chilling after the part where he was in love with the ghost, I was chilling after the part where he killed the cat, then I was not chill after he killed the neighbor’s family. I honestly thought the cat was kinda funny rather than gruesome. I felt him randomly going to kill the neighbors was gruesome XD.

Interpretations

There are different interpretations of the song. One of them says the ghost is the neighbor’s ex-wife and he killed her. So the main character killing the family lets her go to heaven, so that’s why at the end of the song she disappears.

Another is the ghost never existed at all and it was all a delusion until he realized he killed an entire family and he snaps out of it. Which is why he is alone by the end of the song.

I honestly like the first interpretation better, I feel like it fits the song. It also makes the ghost subtlety evil in a way, by manipulating him into killing all the people in creatures. The cat was just to check if he was capable of killing.

Overall, this song was pretty entertaining in rap fashion with the storyline. I hope everyone adds this to their Halloween playlist!!
